Raptor Shift Light Install-Challenger

  2009-2010 Dodge Challenger R/T and SRT8:

Tach: Green wire of shift light (engine speed) goes to PCM, Connector 2 (38 way connector), pin #10. This is coil #1 control signal (Dark Blue with Dark Green Stripe). This wire goes to coil #1.

For the R/T and SRT8 Challengers, there are 3, 38-way connectors on the Powertrain Control Module (PCM),  (C1, C2, C3). The PCM is located on the passenger side firewall. See picture below.

C1 is on top with C3 on the bottom of the PCM. The tach and speed signal (dual mode) can be wired in at the PCM. Only the V6 with auto transmission (RLE) has connector "C4".

For Dual Mode Shift Light: White wire of the shift light goes to PCM, Connector 3 (38 way connector), pin #26. This is the clutch switch signal (Dark Green with Orange Stripe). There is no vehicle speed signal on the Challengers. **The dual mode shift lights must be FACTORY pre programmed to work with the clutch switch and not the standard default Vss signal. The clutch switch wire is typically dark green with orange stripe. This wire runs from the clutch switch to PCM connector C3, pin # 26 (labeled clutch upstop switch signal). If using the dual mode shift light, as soon as clutch is up, the shift light immediately goes into shift mode. But when the clutch pedal is depressed, the shift light waits ~ 1.5 seconds then goes into launch mode. This is needed so while pushing in the clutch while changing gears, it stays in shift mode.

  2011-2014 Dodge Challenger R/T and SRT8:

Tach: Green wire of shift light (engine speed) goes to PCM, Connector 2 (top plug), pin #1.

This is a dark blue wire with a dark green tracer OR yellow wire with a dark blue tracer.

***Only 2 connectors on PCM

You can also get this signal at any of the ignition coils.

For Dual Mode Shift Light:**The dual mode shift lights must be FACTORY pre programmed to work with the clutch switch and not the standard default Vss signal. Clutch switch signal at PCM, connector 1 (C1) pin #40 (dark green wire with orange stripe).

** If Automatic transmission, connect to brake switch signal (C1) pin #41 (dark green wire with white stripe). Must be programmed from factory to use brake switch.

  2015-2022 Dodge Challenger R/T and SRT8:

Tach: Green wire of shift light (engine speed) goes to PCM, Connector 2 (C2-Black Connector)  pin #51.

Clutch switch signal at PCM, connector 1 (C1-Grey Connector)) pin #39 (dark green wire with orange stripe).

** If Automatic transmission, connect to brake switch signal

Connect red wire of the shift light to a switched power source and the black wire to ground (frame).

The cylinder setting must be set to "1 cylinder" mode since we will be reading from a single coil.
